Season 8 of the NBBL tipped off in a big way this weekend, and Week 1 did not disappoint. From dominant wins to down-to-the-wire battles, teams came out ready to make a statement early.
Baylor Bears set the tone right away with the most commanding performance of the week, taking down Providence Friars 90–67. With a +23 point differential, Baylor currently sits at the top of the standings and made it clear they’re a team to watch this season.
The Cincinnati Bearcats—one of the newest teams in the league—came out strong in their debut, securing a 74–62 win over St. Louis Billikens. With balanced scoring and solid team play, Cincinnati showed early signs of strong chemistry and earned themselves a +12 differential to start the season 1-0.
